2 heaped dessert spoons of coco powder (you can also use hot chocolate if you don’t have coco powder- I did!)
1 dessert spoon of clear honey
1 dessert spoon of Natural yogurt
A small tea spoon of fresh lemon juice (I used bottled lemon, like the one you can put on pancakes!)
A pot to put it in
And a makeup brush to apply it with
It should be quite thick and creamy. If it’s like chocolate mousse then you know you’ve got the texture correct. Just shake the pot a little and if it moves a little but barely anything at all then it’s perfect. However do NOT worry if it seems too runny, just add another spoon of chocolate powder to bulk it up!
I have to say that never in my life have I had much luck with facemasks. They’ve always seemed to do nothing at all, or even worse make my skin break out massively. D.I.Y recipes have got to be the best because they are entirely natural and you know exactly what’s in them. So as for this, where does the goodness come from? Well, the honey especially is extremely heeling; all throughout history honey has been used to heel because it is so moisturising and tough on blemishes! The natural yogurt is cool and refreshing, moisturising, reduces redness, and like the lemon juice helps to reduce scars over a period of time, with consistent usage! And the coco powder, well other than the AMAZING smell, it is also packed full of antioxidants which are great for your skin.
It can be a little tough to wash off but try not to worry. Just use soft warm water and remove with a face flannel or cotton wool pads. You face may look a little red when you remove the mask but do not worry, that is fine. Your face should feel really smooth when you run your finger over it! Make sure to tone and moisturise after softly drying your face to lock in moisture to your glowing skin.
Love you all xxx
