Once again, Happy Wednesday Girlies! I hope you are well. You know what Wednesday means don't you? Guest post time. Today I have a guest post by the lovely Kelsey from Style Me Gone...
Thank you so much to the lovely Sophie Jane for letting me post today! This is the part where I'm probably supposed to introduce myself, but most of you probably want to get this over with and get down to the meatier section of the post, so I'll just say hi, I'm Kelsey from Style Me Gone, and I'm a teenager who believes that there is more to style than swag or whatever else is 'in' right now.
I wanted to create a blog about the things I loved for years. I was envious of the people I knew who ran popular blogs with fashion and style and created images of what people wanted to be. I was envious that I wasn't stylish. Why should I start a blog? Everything in my closet was a handmedown, thrifted, or things that I've had since I was twelve (I'm cursed with shortness or something like that).
No great brand names or rose-patterned leggings. Even my sunglasses were a cheap dollar pair that I found in a craft store. I didn't realize that style was more than what was 'in' at that current moment. Style was how I picked sunglasses with an almost cheetah print rim rather than something else.
Style is what YOU pick.

Trend should never have to tell you how to act. If you don't like those rose-patterned leggings: don’t buy them. It's not worth selling out just to please society. If you like a colour, a band, or even that soda everyone thinks is disgusting, embrace your style.
Trend doesn't change until we do.
I started my blog because I'm tired of trend. I'm sad that no one listens to the bands I love. I'm sad that I probably shouldn't be wearing black in the summer. I'm sad that I can't dress up on days that I'm staying home without getting asked why I look "fancy."
We are each an artist and our canvas is our self. If I want to wear sequins to my computer desk, why shouldn't I?
It's hard to break the mould and show your style. I still struggle with it. Blogging helps. But when I'm being myself, I'm a happier person.
Be who you are. Find style by your own taste. Create the trend.
Do you have a style that you find hard to express? Or do you showcase it regularly? Tell me in the comments below (I won't judge)!
If you'd like to talk or hear more of my thoughts for some reason, here are some places you can find me: Blog (http://stylemegone.wordpress.com) Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, and Instagram...
